Hi,
So, have been thinking that what if some people don't understand some of the terms used in scholarship, what if some people are not even reading the scholarship I posted, or what if some just need a straight to the answer kind of a post.
My blog aims to share and post information that is useful to students and entrepreneurs in Nigeria and Africa.
I will try as much as possible to share this information here and to your email address when provided and I will try to make the information as simple as possible.
One thing about the scholarship is that no matter how I try to make it easy for you to understand, it still requires you to work, and I won't be there to help you do the work.
Reading about scholarships is one thing, meeting the requirement and applying is another
Now,
Let me explain some terms to you, you can bookmark this page or save it, I would be updating it from time to time.
First, when you see Fully Funded on a scholarship here or anywhere else, what it means is that all your studies expenditure will be covered by the scholarship.
From flight/ticket fees, feeding, living expenses to tuition fees. Isn't that GREAT?!
Yes, it is!
You may wonder if this is real or not. Yes, it is real!
Europe, Asians, North American, and the other continent are not like our African or Nigerian schools and government.
They care so much about students and would do anything they can to ensure your dream is achieved by supporting you in any way they can.
Second, when you see Partially funded on a scholarship, it could be that they are only offering to pay your tuition fee, or they just want to pay 50% of your tuition fee.
In a nutshell, a partially or partly funded scholarship means all your expenses are not covered in this.
Third, if you see participating countries or courses on a scholarship, it means that the scholarship does not apply to all the courses or countries. You need to take your time to check the courses or countries it applies to before reading further or applying.
So, you can save yourself some stress.
Fifth, TOEFL, SAT, IELTS, GMAT, GRE, scores, etc. this means the score you must-have for your English Proficiency and mathematics before you apply.
TOEFL means - Test of English as a Foreign Language
SAT - Scholastic Assessment test
IELTS - International English Language Testing System
GMAT - Graduate Management Admission Test
GRE - Graduate Record Examinations
This is to mention a few. There are others as well.
Let me stop here, I will discuss how you can use your HND for master in the UK in my next article.
Till then, keep safe.
